The Andrews govt will soon set Victorian Emissions Reduction Targets for 2025 and ’30. And Act on Climate will have an opportunity to influence the final decision. On Thursday 19 November, Act on Climate will cycle 100 laps of State Parliament House to demonstrate the community’s commitment to climate leadership.
The endurance feat will also raise much-needed funds for their grassroots campaign. >>> https://100-laps-for-climate.raisely.com <<<
The relay team will notch up over 100km of distance while towing a bike-trailer billboard bearing a message calling for leadership from the Parliament.
With climate impacts occurring faster than scientists predicted, the litmus test is whether the targets help keep global warming below 1.5°C.
This is the global goal of climate policy. We need it to be Victoria’s goal too.
