About this event

This year’s International Mining and Resources Conference (IMARC) is going online – and so is our resistance. Join for our online counter conference November 22-29 – Beyond Mining: Protecting Land, Water & Life.

Starting by grounding ourselves in the country we are on and the struggles on this continent, we will move around the world and speak with the incredible people and communities who are fighting to protect the earth, their homes and their culture from the destructive force of mining, gas and extractivism. Over the course of the week, we will create a space for protectors to listen, connect, reflect, and plan together. We will critically analyse the structures that uphold IMARC and all the injustices it represents, learn important skills for resistance, and explore and envision a post extractivist world, beyond mining, that values communities, land, water and life.

Join for a week of workshops, panels, discussions, podcasts, movies, music and connection.

We have a world to win!
