BirdLife Australia: Birding at Home – Magpie Madness

Friday 11 Sep
- Friday 11 Sep

About this event

Australia’s magpie guru Darryl Jones is an urban ecologist and the author of Feeding the Birds at Your Table and Magpie Alert, and he’s ready to answer your burning questions on the infamous Swoopy Boi, the magpie!

Spring has sprung, the days are getting warmer and the birds are nesting – which also means that swooping season is well underway across the country. Darryl will discuss just why magpies swoop and what we can do about it, and touch on his extensive research of these iconic Australian birds. So, should we fear the magpie? Darryl has the answers!

Even if you are an expert birder, we encourage you to join in for a chat – and please spread the word to all the bird and nature lovers in your life.

Join us live on the BirdLife Australia Facebook page.
