About this event

This month we are joined by Julian Cribb – prolific and distinguished journalist and science communicator with 30 years experience, over 8,000 articles, 3,000 media appearances and 8 books and counting!

Julian will be exploring with us the central question facing humanity today: how can we best survive the ten great existential challenges that are now coming together to confront us? Come join us to learn about these challenges, and their solutions, from the latest scientific perspectives.

You can also find Julian’s book Surviving the 21st Century: Humanity’s Ten Great Challenges and How We Can Overcome Them here: https://www.springer.com/gp/book/9783319412696

Following the discussion with Julian, CCL Canberra will hold its monthly meeting to discuss and plan activities to effectively address Climate Change: all are welcome to join!

Make Your Change acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of the Lands on which we live, play, advocate, and activate.  We acknowledge their continuing connection to Country and community, and pay our respect to Elders past and present. We recognise Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the First Australians.  We are committed to honouring their unique cultural, and spiritual relationship to the land, air, waters and seas—as well as their rich contributions to society. We acknowledge the sovereignty, land, and law of First Nations were never ceded—this always was and always will be the Land of First Nations people.
