About this event

You’re invited to Re-energise Australia: A clean jobs summit for local government, a free online event hosted by the Cities Power Partnership.

The event brings together local government leaders and industry experts to chart the best course for a sustainable recovery in local economies, focusing on solutions that address COVID-19 job losses, while also tackling the long-term issue of climate change.

Over the course of seven concise presentations by experts in economics, climate change, policy, local government and investment, councils can benchmark their own plans against expert advice, as well as learn about sustainable recovery opportunities identified in the Clean Jobs Plan recently released by the Climate Council.

This event, hosted by the Cities Power Partnership, will help define the role of local governments in the context of the national economic recovery, offering practical ways of creating jobs while cutting emissions.

As this is a public event, we’d appreciate you forwarding the information to your colleagues, friends, family or anyone you think may benefit.
