About this event

Join the Climate Justice Collective as we have a fun day out in Kuring-Gai National Park! We will be doing the Cowan to Brooklyn via Jerusalem Bay Track, a half-day affair. I’ve heard it’s one of the more scenic and complete walks you can do without (technically) leaving Sydney, and the CJC team will lead the way with some stories about the heritage and flora of the area.

We’re starting fresh and early at Central Station at 8:30am to hop on a train (you may also join the train at Strathfield, Epping or Hornsby, so let me know if this works better for you). We aim to be on our way back by 3.

Please bring water and food. Some sunscreen and snacks will be provided. For those concerned, health authorities have advised that physical distancing is less of an issue in open, outdoor spaces, but please sit this one out if you’re not feeling well!

It’s not the easiest track, mainly on account of its length, and there are some short steep sections. We will make a stop at Jerusalem Bay and decide whether to double back or go all the way to Brooklyn.

We will be raising money for a grassroots cause, which is TBA. To help us keep track of who’s coming, we ask that you RSVP!
