About this event

Coalition for Conservation warmly welcomes you to join a conversation with former UK Prime Minister The Rt Hon Theresa May MP and NSW Premier The Hon Gladys Berejiklian MP discussing the UK’s history on climate and conservation, the NSW progressive decarbonisation plan, opportunities for a green economic recovery post COVID and the importance of female leadership on environment.

The UK Conservatives have a long history championing a progressive climate and environment agenda. Last year, Mrs May introduced the legislation to end the UK’s contribution to global warming entirely, making the UK the first G7 country to legislate for NET ZERO emissions. She also launched the 25-year Environment Plan focused on protecting and enhancing the UK’s environmental standards.

In Australia, NSW is taking the lead on the race to decarbonisation with a plan to become a renewable energy superpower, as well as approving the largest ever purchase for National Parks estate under the leadership of Premier Berejiklian.

Do not miss the opportunity to hear from these outstanding female leaders who are passionate about conservation.
