About this event

Join members from Queensland and across the country for discussion on clean energy future with CleanCo, Dr Maia Schweizer. CleanCo is the Queensland Government’s wholly-owned clean energy company. Established to increase competition in the State’s energy market and to help it achieve its 50 per cent renewable energy target by 2030.

Join CleanCo’s inaugural CEO, Maia Schweizer, to discuss how CleanCo will drive the State’s transition to renewable energy, and .

  • What transformation is required in the next 10 years to plan for the next 30 years?
  • What decisions and time frames to transition to renewables are required to trade off against the loss of jobs, reliable power delivery and substantial set up costs.
  • How do we facilitate the development and adoption of renewable energy technologies and policy approaches.
  • Although the adoption of renewable energy sources is increasing in many parts of the world, how do we address the multitude of policy, regulatory, technological, social and financial barriers that arise?

This virtual roundtable is by invitation only. The roundtable will be conducted on a virtual platform and numbers are limited to maximise participation. Invitations to virtual roundtables are a valued benefit of CEDA membership. Chatham House Rule applies. Roundtable discussions will be targeted to varied groups, including state-based Trustees discussions, national or industry sector Trustee roundtables, and c-suite conversations.
