Note: You must register to attend this event. The event will not be streamed on FaceBook Live. Joining with others in prayer for change is a wonderful thing. We pray to ask God to guide us with wisdom, give us courage to act and help us follow Jesus’ call to love our neighbours.

This online prayer vigil will be held the night before the School Strike for Climate #SS4C in support of #SS4C and to respond to the voices of the younger generations crying out for climate justice.

Aboriginal Christian leaders have historically called prayer gatherings prior to a march or rally and then cover the event in prayer during the march or rally. In this tradition we seek to watch, pray and act together and online.

Joining the vigil space
Our vigil will be live and participatory. Joining from our homes we will create and hold a space for our prayers, together.

Preparing your own vigil space
We invite you to turn on your camera so you are visually present, and place something special in view. This could be a candle, a plant, flowers, a cloth, an object or symbol that is important to you as you watch, pray and act for creation and climate justice. You might also like to have a beloved pet or plant with you.Wear the colour yellow.

We invite you to either wear the colour yellow or place something yellow in view of your webcam. This is in response to the #SS4C and Seed request that those who participate in the #FundOurFutureNotGas actions wear the colour yellow.
