Ged Kearney (Labor MP Cooper, VIC) invites you to a Virtual Town Hall to discuss the current state of environment and climate change policy and what’s next.
About this Event
Ged Kearney invites you to a Virtual Town Hall with Terri Butler and Mark Butler to discuss the current state of environment and climate change policy and where we are going next.
Under the Coalition Government we’ve seen the climate emergency worsen and our environmental laws weakened. Join us for this virtual town hall to talk about the major developments in federal policy and the path our country must take forward in tacking the climate emergency and protecting and restoring our environment.
Terri Butler is the Shadow Minister for the Environment and Water, and the Member for Griffith in Brisbane. As a Shadow Minister her priority is holding the Minister to account for the current government’s failures in environmental protection and water management.
Mark Butler is Labor’s Shadow Minister for Climate Change and Energy. Representing suburbs around the west of Adelaide he served as Minister for Ageing and Australia’s first Minister for Mental Health in the Gillard Government. He has also held the ministries of Housing, Homelessness, Social Inclusion, Climate Change, Water and the Environment.
This will be an interactive session with the chance for you to ask questions and hear directly from the Shadow Ministers.
