About this event

The Pedal Rebels will ride from Victoria Park Pool through Newtown! We need to remind our species that we are in an extinction crisis and time is running out to make the changes required to reduce utter climate catastrophe and ecocide.

Meet at Victoria Park pool at 9:30am SHARP for safety briefing, attaching flags, music etc.

Please bring XR flags, costumes, t-shirts or signs you can attach to bikes. Family and friends too!

DO NOT BE LATE! Safety briefing begins at 9:30.

– Ride will maintain physical distancing
– Safety precautions will be observed
– We may slow traffic but will not be majorly disruptive
– We will be loud, colourful and fun (crazier the better)
-please bring any sound making

WET WEATHER – if forecast i looking uncertain and skies are turning grey, check Facebook event at 7am Sunday for update to the ride!

If you do not have a bike or want to request other equipment, flags etc

If any rebels are interested in handing out some XR recruitment flyers, get in touch and DM Rachael Buzio.

XR acknowledges that this rebel ride is happening on the stolen land of the Gadigal People. The sovereignty of this land was never ceded and it suffers under colonialism. We acknowledge the elders past, present and emerging and the way they have cared for this land for tens of thousands of years.
