Healthy Futures is running an Gippsland Air Quality and Health Forum on Wed Aug 26th with options for online or face to face participation. The Forum will include speaker presentations and Q&A, providing an overview of air quality in Gippsland, sources of air pollution, health impacts and potential relationships with COVID-19.
The line up includes Associate Professor Fay Johnston, air pollution expert; Associate Professor Anthony Sasse, local respiratory physician and Ms Rose Bell from Asthma Australia.
We welcome everyone to join, however, we will give preference to Gippsland residents during question time. Given the Victorian Government has delayed the decision to set 2025 and 2030 climate targets, this is a pertinent time to be thinking about how we can protect future generations and build a better future.
There are also 20 places available for in-person attendance at the Monash School of Rural Health Conference Room 1, Latrobe Regional Hospital, 10 Village Ave Traralgon VIC 3844 – arrive at 6.30pm onwards for pizza and mingling – in-person tickets are $5 to cover the pizza.
Zoom entry is free.
