Lock the Gate: Pilliga Rising Watch Party

Wednesday 8 Jul
- Wednesday 8 Jul

About this event

It’s crunch time to stop Santos ripping through the precious Pilliga forest and its time to spread the word.

We’re inviting you to learn the facts at our live Facebook “watch party” to view the stunning film Pilliga Rising publicly online for the first time. This way we can all safely physically isolate at home while staying connected and informed. Together we’ll learn about the issue threatening the Pilliga forest and prepare for being a critical voice for nature.

Pilliga Rising is a must watch moving film telling the story of four different community members who rise up to protect North west NSW from Santos’ proposed invasive gasfield.

The film will be followed by a live Q&A with Elle Lawless, Newcastle Campaign Manager for the Wilderness Society. We’ll all get prepared to learn the facts because your voice for nature, through making a submission, is key to protect the Pilliga forest.

We look forward to you joining us to watch Pilliga Rising live.

Together we’ll ramp up the scale of awareness and opposition for a huge push of submissions to stop Pilliga CSG. Make some popcorn and watch together with your household. See you there!
