Learn the tips and tricks for keeping both chickens and quails happy and healthy in your own backyard urban farm.
About this Event
Farming your backyard for food production is a wonderful experience in which to connect to nature and enjoy the outdoor space of your home. A good food production system can be supported with keeping backyard poultry. The keeping of chickens and quails is a great way to introduce livestock into your own little urban farm. Done properly with the very best care in mind, backyard poultry can provide wonderful benefits for the home gardener that go far beyond fresh homegrown eggs.
Join Permaculture Northern Beaches for an evening learning tips and tricks on caring for backyard poultry. Maximise both your feathered friends welfare and benefits to your garden. Presented by Paul Cannings , an urban ecologist, agriculture teacher and permaculture designer who incorporates chickens and quails to work with a garden through his edible garden business, Farm My Yard.
