About this event

Let’s get into some craftivism! A weekly sewing circle in Geraldton to raise awareness of Forests under threat of logging and clearing in the South West.

Come and stitch an up-cycled leaf to wear as a badge, a conversation starter: spread the message about protecting precious forests in the south west. The sit n stitch joins forces with the local Boomerang Bags and Borrow Bunting Geraldton group. “Creativity is the greatest rebellion in existence” Our activism is sitting, stitching, creating and conversing. At WAFA, we are gearing up for our new Forest for Climate campaign, and as a welcome to all our new and old forest defenders we are giving away 500 of these gorgeous hand stitched upcycled campaign badges as gifts. We aim to stitch 500 before the end of August!
