What is a Source Reduction Plan?
If all we do is clean up, that’s all we’ll ever do. This Source Reduction Plan workshop invites community members, local businesses, school representatives and government representatives to assist in the development of a plan that stops litter at its source.

Everyone is welcome and you don’t have to have experience in this field, just an interest in protecting our local environment and the Great Barrier Reef.

Through data collected in the Australian Marine Debris Initiative Database (AMDI) from local clean-ups, several items have been identified as marine debris repeat offenders along the Great Barrier Reef.

This workshop will enable individuals and communities to engage with all likely stakeholders and partners to create a strategy to prevent cigarette butt litter from entering the environment.

Workshop Calendar:
• Thursday, 03/09/20, from 10:00 am – 11:00 am.

This SRP workshop will be facilitated by:
• Heidi Taylor – Tangaroa Blue Foundation CEO
• Tom Godfrey – Communications specialist. Tom has delivered media and social media strategies for some of Australia’s most iconic brands. He has also been a regular commenter on The Today Show, Sunrise and the nightly news.

The workshop will be held online, with presentation details to be sent upon registration.
