Member Profile

Ryde-Gladesville Climate Change Action Group is local citizens working for action on the most important issue of our time.  We are unfunded and unaffiliated with any organisation and have 740 local supporters who receive our monthly e-newsletter.

Our Aims:

  • Make leaders aware of the strong desire in the community for immediate action by government to reduce greenhouse gases to stabilise the climate;
  • Inform the community about actions they can take to reduce climate change

Our Position… What is needed:

  • A price on carbon
  • Australia to become a global climate leader on emissions targets
  • 100% renewable energy target by 2030
  • End CSG and coal mining in Australia

Make Your Change acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of the Lands on which we live, play, advocate, and activate.  We acknowledge their continuing connection to Country and community, and pay our respect to Elders past and present. We recognise Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the First Australians.  We are committed to honouring their unique cultural, and spiritual relationship to the land, air, waters and seas—as well as their rich contributions to society. We acknowledge the sovereignty, land, and law of First Nations were never ceded—this always was and always will be the Land of First Nations people.
