Member Profile

The Climate and Health Alliance (CAHA) is a registered charity and was established in August 2010.

The establishment of the Climate and Health Alliance was a direct response to the call from the international medical journal The Lancet in 2009 calling for a public health movement that ‘framed the threat of climate change for humankind as a health issue’.

CAHA’s members recognise that health care stakeholders have a particular responsibility to the community in advocating for climate action to protect and promote human health.

CAHA works to catalyse action on climate change through building a powerful health sector movement, nationally and internationally.

A brochure About CAHA is available to share information about the Climate and Health Alliance. Please download the brochure or email the link to share with your colleagues.

Make Your Change acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of the Lands on which we live, play, advocate, and activate.  We acknowledge their continuing connection to Country and community, and pay our respect to Elders past and present. We recognise Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the First Australians.  We are committed to honouring their unique cultural, and spiritual relationship to the land, air, waters and seas—as well as their rich contributions to society. We acknowledge the sovereignty, land, and law of First Nations were never ceded—this always was and always will be the Land of First Nations people.
